Co-Founder & CEO
James Waryck
Co-Founder & CEO
James discovered his passion for technology after randomly taking a course in college. By the time the class ended, he was hooked and quickly declared his major in information systems. Post college, he helped many businesses accomplish more by leveraging technology. His experiences lead him to help found Strategic Technology Solutions where he can pursue his zeal for all things IT even further. In his current role, he focuses on leadership, researching the latest technologies, trends in the industry, and best practices to advise, plan, design, and implement strategic IT solutions for STS customers. His responsibilities coincide with everything he loves about working in tech – the ability to continuously learn and evolve. One of his favorite things about his work is the enthusiasm that his team brings to their jobs and to serving the client.
Off the clock, James loves exploring his proclivity for Japanese food. His favorite is ordering Omakase style, which means the chef decides. Though he loves to travel, he enjoys returning to his small, childhood town in Massachusetts for the simple fact that it keeps him close to his roots and core values. However, if he could go anywhere, it’d be Japan so that he can experience the incredible cuisine in person.

Sam Sheth
Co-Founder & CIO
Sam started using technology at a young age to answer questions and solve problems. In fact, he built his first computer to figure out how it created visual data viewable via a screen. He knew technology was his life path after he helped bring his high school’s failing, outdated computer network into the 20th century. Post-high school, he earned multiple accreditations in the IT space including with Microsoft, iManage, Citrix, Cisco, and VMware and continued from there to multiple, large scale multi-infrastructure upgrades and migration projects. Sam has a deep passion for using technology to help businesses work more efficiently and securely. His favorite thing about STS is the amazing, dedicated, and experienced team he gets to work with.
Outside of work, you’ll find Sam hunting down his next food adventure. Though he loves tacos, especially for their versatility, he's always looking to try something new. When it comes to travel, Egypt remains the most intriguing, beautiful, and magical place he’s traveled. Though in the future, he won't only be keeping his sights set on Earth. His pie-in-the-sky travel destination is among the stars in outer space. Hopefully, he won’t have to wait too long.

Jenn Steip
Operations Manager
Jenn’s always had a knack for organizing, whether it’s tasks, people, or projects. Her gift for the operational side of things struck her early in her educational career. Since then, she’s discovered a real passion for working with different types of people, thinking critically about how things operate and how to improve operational performance. Jenn’s contributed her operational acumen to multiple companies throughout her career. Her most recent list of accomplishments includes increasing the efficiency of business-critical operational processes, reducing annual company expenditures by 6.3% and implementing a new PSA. She’s found her home at STS where everyone shares the spirit of comradery. They roll up their sleeves to help when needed and show each other appreciation for a job well done.
When she’s not working, Jenn loves to share a great meal with her loved ones. She believes that it’s the company that makes food taste even better. Her favorite travel location is Italy because of its rich history, culture, food, wine, and art. Italy truly has it all. She’d love to visit the Maldives, go on a safari in Africa and watch bears catch salmon in the Katmai National Park.

Michael also built his first computer from scratch, for the family, at the ripe old age of 13 (a shoutout to his mom for letting him do this). This experience instilled in him a lifelong passion for the ever-changing landscape of technology. His career bloomed quickly, taking him to Office Depot, where he worked as their Technology Manager and then onto Wyle Aerospace as their Support Analyst where his team was responsible for testing military satellites. Since then, he’s been happily working at STS where he’s proud of building out their best-in-class service team. Needless to say, he enjoys STS’ culture at large and all the opportunities to think, create, and provide technology solutions.
When’s he’s not working, he’s like the rest of the team and enjoys food. His favorite so far is pasta because it is literally delicious. Food plays a role in his travel plans as well. His quick getaway destination is San Diego for their restaurant scene and the beach, of course. His dream vacation is Greece, from the culture to the amazing views to the food, it checks all the boxes.

MarkAnthony Vargas
Service Delivery Manager - Professional Services
MarkAnthony found technology early, which inspired him to attend a STEM focused high school. During his time there he dove into robotics and computer science. While in college, he discovered a passion for the more hands on and business sides of IT prompting him to major in Computer Information Systems. Post-graduation, he landed his first position in the managed IT services industry and never left. Over the years, MarkAnthony gained extensive experience working on varied technological projects. Highlights include completing an end-to-end build with virtualization, network, server, and workstation deployment for a client’s remote office in China and quickly responding to a high risk Log4J vulnerability that required a complex technical patching process for all client endpoints. His favorite thing about technology is that it’s always changing and innovating. He enjoys his work because everyone at STS is genuinely committed to improving and serving clients.
Outside of work, MarkAnthony, loves reminiscing over a good meal, preferably his favorite, which is Baja fish tacos as they remind him of family. He also delights in getting to the great outdoors to reset and relax. This pastime is a throwback to his visits to such iconic national treasures as Yosemite, Sequoia, and the Central Coast. When it comes to future travels, his sights are set in South America where he hopes to explore the rich nature, culture, and history of Machu Pichu and Patagonia.

Mike Ubaldini
Director of Business Development
Michael Ubaldini is a legal technology business development professional with over 20 years of experience. He is known for his sales acumen and leadership prowess, his knack for nurturing relationships, and his passionate presence in legal community associations and events.
Mike’s technology journey began over twenty years ago selling Microsoft-certified training. Over time, he found his way to a new organization where he entered the arena of enterprise software sales, helping grow their revenue five times in four years. This experience reinforced his passion and strengths for technology sales while sharpening his learned and natural skillsets. Mike discovered that not only did he love surrounding himself with brilliant people, but that he’d also devote himself to helping clients achieve their vision and build a strong customer-oriented reputation. He discovered his true niche where these converged: at the center of legal technology, where he’s found his calling for the past 18+ years.
Mike has spent the past several happy years with Strategic Technology Solutions, a premiere provider of technology business services and solutions focusing exclusively on the legal industry. His sales expertise ranges from offerings like managed IT and cloud services to complex system migrations, upgrades, and other comprehensive technology projects. His favorite part of working with the legal community is their firm, fair, and caring culture.
After hours, you may find Mike running across the Arizona deserts or enjoying the delightful food of his Italian heritage. Mike is a lifelong learner who enjoys trying new things and thinking creatively. He finds fulfillment spending time in his hometown of Phoenix, taking trips to San Diego, traversing the mountains of Colorado, and visiting friends and family in his home state of Pennsylvania (and yes, he is a devoted Phillies and Eagles fan). He is grateful for adventures and family time with his wife, his two beautiful daughters, and their family’s beloved dog.
Mike has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Phoenix Area Parks & Recreation Park Steward Program. He served as a Co-Founder and Board of Directors member for the nonprofit organization NixCancer Foundation.
